About Me
I have been the go-to person for proofreading and editing for co-workers, friends, and family for years and always found a way to fit my writing and editing skills into whatever job I was working. After years of doing this on the side or as part of a larger job description, I finally decided to concentrate on these skills professionally.
I have written, edited, and proofread magazines, website content, marketing emails, social media posts, résumés, and other printed materials such as training manuals, rack cards, brochures, and more. I have an extensive background in writing for finance, real estate, training curriculum/manuals, and more recently the creative services, aesthetics, and medical industries.
Recently, I've brushed up my skills by completing the General Proofreading: Theory and Practice™ course from ProofreadAnywhere. I'm also listed on the Self-Publishing School Preferred Outsourcer Rolodex and am a member of the Modern Language Association, Editorial Freelancers Association, and Freelancers Association.
Typically, I refer to the AP Stylebook, The Chicago Manual of Style, and Merriam-Webster's Unabridged Dictionary, but if you have a specific style guide you want me to follow, please provide me with a copy before I start proofing.
